  1. I didn't like any of these songs :(
  2. Don't mind Frodo, he's being a guitar elitist . The Squier is the perfect beginner guitar. Sound is great for everything except maybe some extreme metals (death metal, black metal, etc.). But the amp is blam!, get the Lne 6 Frodo mentioned when you get the chance. I have one that I still use to this day, though of course I have some much better guitars now. I also got a guitar for Christmas/My Birthday. A Martin D-15M. Great guitar, best I've ever played (acoustic btw). I'm actually surprised my mom could afford it as it runs about $1100. Ouch!
  3. FSUFMX: You aren't as alone in music taste as you might think. I know many, many people that listen to every genre of metal. Not me but you understand. As for myself I like a vast amount of music. John Frusciante tops my list. Some of you may know him from his Red Hot Chili Pepper days. Good times, but I'm talking about his solo music. His music puts me into a different state of being, where I understand more of the universe. I don't want to weird you guys out so I'll just tell you to listen to his album The Empyrean. Along with Frusciante I listen to the great classics. The Beatles were the greatest band that has ever existed, John Lennon being the most important aspect. I love chilling out to Bob Marley though I should listen to more Reggae artists. Nirvana, need I say more? The greatest guitarist Jimi Hendrix makes my list. Of course the Red Hot Chili Peppers. And I can't forget Frank Zappa, Cat Stevens, the Zombies, Sublime, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, The Doors, Johnny Cash, and King Crimson. There are many more of course. For hip-hop I listen to the classic NWA and A Tribe Called Quest. I also enjoy Kanye's newest album. Now here's a huge list of artists you may or may not have heard of. If you haven't I encourage you to check them out. Daniel Johnston, Nick Drake, Mesita, Tame Impala, Neutral Milk Hotel, Thelonious Monster, Bob Forrest, The Bicycle Thief, Joanna Newsom, Tori Amos, Regina Spektor, The Tallest Man On Earth, Mountain Man, Mumford & Sons, Tinyfolk, Leonard Cohen, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, The Mars Volta, Radiohead, Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, My Bloody Valentine, Sibylle Baier, She & Him, MGMT, Warpaint, Iron & Wine, Loch Lomond, Jose Gonzalez, Animal Collective, Fang Island, Fake Problems, Velvet Underground, Victor Florence, Pessimister, Tuna Laguna, Flying Lotus, Dothacker, Opeth, Sigur Ros, Beck, The Wailing Wall, Victor Wooten, American Football, Analog Rebellion, Anois, The Antlers, Arcade Fire, Ataxia, Beach House, Black Mountain, Bon Iver, Dana Falconberry, Dinosaur Feathers, Donovan, Erland and the Carnival, Espers, The Fiery Furnaces, Funkadelic, Gareth Liddiard, Alexandre Desplat, Oasis, Pale Young Gentlemen, Ratatat, Siskiyou, Sufjan Stevens, and many more!
  4. These guys are actually pretty popular if you didn't know.
  5. @FSUFMX IB = International Baccalaureate It's the advanced classes offered by my school. Basically the curriculum is used throughout the world and was designed to be university prep. Students taking these classes can earn college credit. There are also IB exams that may be taken to earn more credit. It's not unheard of for kids to exit high school and enter a university as a sophomore, and even a few really bright people as juniors.
  6. Portland, Oregon. Please contain your jealousy.
  8. AP is a joke. IB is for real men.
  9. Haha, I think it's funny how everyone has stereotypical teenage taste in music. Not bashing cause I like those too, I just find it humorous. For now I've been listening to: John Frusciante MGMT Iron & Wine Sigur Ros The Beatles Hendrix King Crimson She & Him Neutral Milk Hotel Ratatat The Wailing Wall Warpaint RHCP The list goes on...
  10. After 15 it gets a bit hazy. But whoever thinks the Beatles are overrated is obviously ignorant. They will always be number one for many reasons. Without the Beatles half the bands on this list wouldn't exist. Then there are the laughable ones: AC/DC, KISS, LL Cool J, etc. Haha funny.
  11. Chad Smith Ringo Starr (Haters gonna hate) Paul Mazurkiewicz
  12. What a stud Draco. Still doing signatures, eh?
  13. I know you stated it was your opinion, but Strats (you said Fenders but I assume you mean Strats) are only as generic as you make them. If anything is generic it's Les Pauls. And yeah the pickups are shit, but any $200 guitar has shit pickups. Also, get some pics of that Jackson bro! Swat, looks like we have the same gear, I'll post some pictures of my Les Paul later.
