Alright I'll try Sony Vegas, thanks Jeff!

Yeah, Vegas is awesome, I made my DemolitionRace in it, and it was great for all 30 hours of that! :D I haven't tried Premiere much yet, but if it is better than Vegas as Jeff said, I'm excited! Especially if I use AE as well! :D

It worked for 30 hours of video clips?? Then I hope I can edit my 25 minutes of raw footage easily. I'm excited for Vegas then. As I've said, all I need is simple editing software but at a faster speed!

I've done some searching, and IDK what version of Premiere you tried, but apparently the trial of CS5 (the version I used) doesn't install codecs for AVCHD files (.m2ts, the thing the Roxio HD Pro uses), so that's why it wasn't working for me.

I'm gonna try CS6, apparently that should work fine, but converting the file to .mp4 worked too, although it did take about half an hour, which would be annoying for every video.

Please let me know if you find any advancements in this matter.

Also, if Premiere Pro is as good as Jeff says it is, I can't wait to try it, especially coupled with After Effects, it sounds amazing and would definitely increase the editing quality and professionalism of my videos! :D

I'd help but I don't think you'd want the crappy quality that a Dazzle DVC 100 would get. Also it might not even work right now because every time I try to use it recently, it drops 50 frames per second.

The Roxio's should have multiple capture formats. AVCHD is a pretty buggy codec as it is. Always capture in MP4 (may display as an H.264 file).

I used a dazzle for about two straight years until a week ago, and my quality was always good. Perhaps yours is broken?

Unfortunately not, that's the only format :( Unless we could get a different program for capturing that uses different formats, I think we're just going to have to use AVCHD :(

Sorry for the double post (it may merge them, IDK), but I have discovered some recent advancements in the field of editing software.

Premiere Pro CS5 trial doesn't install AVCHD codecs, so that's why it doesn't work. The CS6 trial does, and I've tried it, and it works great!

I just remembered that Sony Vegas imports AVCHD fine, but not the audio, so if you want game sound (without converting the videos first), then don't go for Vegas.

Also, I'm loving Premiere Pro so far, still getting used to it but it's awesome! I love the way you can save titles as presets (can't in Vegas), so you don't have to remake them every video. I'm also pumped about After Effects integration, I can't wait to try that out, it sounds amazing!!!

I might try Sony Vegas, since a trial of Premiere Pro would expire.

Yeah, Vegas works fine too, and even if you do want to do some fairly advanced editing it is still great! :D

Also, I've been doing some editing in AE and Premiere, and the integration between them is amazing!!! I can't wait to properly learn how to use them! :D

Hey, I think you said yesterday that you got Vegas working, if you need any help with it, just ask! I used it for quite a while and edited a montage with it, so I've got some experience! :D

I have a SD capture card, but my voice is really quite and I don't like commentating that much. I could maybe record game plays for you if that's any help.
