  1. Xbox One

    21 May 2013 - 01:16 PM

Microsoft's new console, dubbed the Xbox One, was announced today at a live one hour conference. Details about the new Xbox's entertainment and gaming abilities were put on display along with demonstrations and trailers provided by gaming developers like EA and Infinity Ward. A new Halo project was announced, but may not be what you expected. Acclaimed science fiction director, Steven Spielberg, has taken a job as the director for a brand new Halo TV series. This announcement coincides with the Xbox One's ability to switch between a gaming experience to a television experience.

Xbox One supports three operating systems may not be backwards compatible. Included hardware with every new console will be a brand new Kinect sensor, which Microsoft claims to be nothing short of lightning quick. Gamers can expect an 8 core AMD processor, 8 GBs of DDR3 RAM and a Blu-Ray drive.

For more information on the new Xbox One, you can re-watch the conference at Xbox.com or read up on various articles posted on Wired or IGN. Now it's your turn to tell us your opinions on the Xbox One. Vote in the poll above and then discuss why you picked that answer below!
  2. (S5) Race 17: Global SX

    06 May 2013 - 09:06 PM

Season 5 has shown the most competitive racing out of any season thus far. It all started with Jake Bobius' onslaught of victories and podiums, perpetuating an atmosphere of a season where Jeff wasn't going to win. New challengers stepped up to the plate with tenacious desire to prove their mettle. Veteran HT Supercross racers sought to improve their racing skills and show rookies how things are done. We are now on the last leg of this truly epic season. Jeff has worked his way back to 1st place contention, and the pressure is on for Jake Bobius to get either a first or second place finish. UnkownGaming and King Edward enter this final chapter with a battle for 3rd place overall.

After this race, the Top 10 racers on the leaderboard will be allowed to race in a special invitational race. Also, the winner of Season 5 is going to get free tickets to an AMA Monster Energy Supercross race nearest their home address!

You are about to enter the last race of Season 5. Every rotation of your Mongoose's wheel has led up to this point. Let's make Race 17 memorable.

Important: Those who cannot achieve a Season Total will not be allowed to partake in this race.

Race 17 yielded 13 racers but only 1 winner. That winner, who breaks his 3rd place trend, would be Purple Dinosaur. After getting the holeshot, Purple would not relent to the powers that were Jake Bobius and Jeff. During the first few laps, Jeff was hot on his tail until a wreck over the whoops. He would recover with much hotness, however, Jake Bobius would gain substantial ground on him after Jeff became stuck on the rails surrounding Global's garden later in the race. King Edward sought to gain considerable points before the gate'splosion. With a bad start including an intentional wreck delivered by UnknownRacing32, his goals of beating Purple in Season 5 were over.

This was the final race in Season 5. Thank you to all who were in attendance! An early congratulations to Jake Bobius for becoming HT Supercross' new champion!

    Rules

These rules apply during all series races:

-No intentional wrecking. If someone accuses someone, we will review it.
-Any major annoyances such as going backwards will result in a DNF for that person without warning.
-No whining or having meltdowns. Handle all problems maturely.
-No excessive yelling. Loud racers can and will have their right to race revoked.
-What the Race Host says, goes. Do not argue with a Race Host.
-Go on the Gate Drop, there is no rolling or jumping over the gate at any time. Doing so will result in -1 points for that race and another -2 on your Series Total.
-HT Supercross has a Blue Flag flag rule. This means that if a racer is being lapped, he must pull over and let the leaders pass. However, if the leader does not call a Blue Flag, then the lapped rider does not have to pull over.
-Intentionally wrecking other racers, again, is not allowed. Type of wrecking are listed below:

      • Minor Intentional Wreck: Ruled by when a rider causes another rider to flip, however no major loss in position occurs. This results in a -1 for the causing rider and a +1 for the wrecked rider.
      • Major Intentional Wreck: Ruled by when a rider flips another rider, however a major loss in position occurs. This results in a -2 for the causing rider and a +2 for the wrecked rider.
      • The only exception for wrecking is when a Blue Flagged rider is not pulling over. However, the rider that is lapping the other must be completely sure that both parties understood that one was being lapped. Wrecked Blue Flagged riders will still go under review, however in a separate way.
-If you feel you were the victim of a wreck, send the Race Host a message after the race containing the number of checkpoints the leader had and who it was that wrecked you. Sending us a message will give you the certainty that we've seen and considered your complaint.

    Racing End Rules
-The Race Host will tell you when to stop. When he does, you will comply or you will be removed.
-Line up behind the racer who finished before you.
-If you are not complying when a Race Host is asking you to remain in your spot (getting off, jumping, shooting, etc), then the Race Host may resort to the removal of the disorderly racer.

This week, we enter the 15th race of Season 5. Jake Bobius currently sits at the top, but has not guaranteed himself victory just yet. Jeff and UnknownGaming still have the chance to overthrow him. Nothing in our Top 5 is guaranteed anything as of yet. This season is still very much alive. Time to see who breasts will fair hottest of all at Indianapolis.

The chase for the Championship has begun. Every contender for 1st place is now under their own pressures to come out on top or merely revel in, "what could have been." These next races can be considered the most important races of the season. No racer desires to place below another. It's up to you to make community history.

I hope you're up for the challenge.

Hey I was wondering if you could please un-archive my squad the Dirty Racing League and give me the "admin" powers to it's subforum, thank would be awesome. Also, is there any way that you could get me access to the account "DRL Bank Account" so I can reward tournament winners, or do I have to ask the people who made the account for it? Thanks, Coookkie

I use to really edit, but i stopped for graphics, and now im back into just recording. I dont like montages anymore because people just look at the editing and not the actual clips anymore. I like doing race track videos because its minimal edits while showing something other than effects and a cool trick shot.
